Sorry about this but I can understand both of the arguments that are being presented with more support towards the necessary evil of not saving the dinosaurs.

With the dinosaurs there could be a moral argument that life should be preserved including prehistoric species such as the dinosaurs.

But at the same time there is a clear security argument against saving the dinosaurs not including the millions of dollars that would have to be spent on not just repairing damage but also fortifying buildings and infanstructure.

I sincerely implore all of the Gentlemen/Women present to continue to debate this issue in a civilised manner in order to ensure that we are respectfull and to show that this community is not and will never stand divided.

Because humans have the potential to contribute. Dinos don't. Dinos don't fill any niche in any present ecosystem. Their's was destroyed. The only purpose dinos serve is entertainment for rich people and evetually killing those said people when they escape. You just don't get it. There's no useful reason besides scientific study (which has its limits considering they aren't even real dinos) which is negated by the fact that when they break out there's going to be a massacre.

I mean, it's not like you can't just make more of the dinosaurs.

Even in movie beforehand, they'd gotten the science down to the point of making actual hybrids.

One could easily guess based on that, that you could just make more dinosaurs if you really wanted to.

So, yeah, no, not gonna spend money saving some animals that should've stayed extinct to begin with.

Where humans and dinosaurs coexist. This isn't our reality if you remember meaning we can spend the alternate realities money and bankrupt them therefore saving human lives and dinosaurs. Some humans are natural born killers too when they're born out of the womb. What stops us from killing them as well?

It’s extremely rare for a human to be a born killer. You’d probably win the mega millions 10 times in a row at 1 Billion a pop before a natural born killer appears.

Psychopath is something completely different do don’t even try. Also why the fuck should my tax dollars go to building an underwater city. That sounds like it’s time for a military coup or a popular revolution

Also do you not understand that dinosaurs are extremely wild animals? There is no way that you could Co-exist.

I'm talking about the dinosaurs from Dinotopia and taking some of the Jurassic World Dinosaurs and enlightening them and possibly therefore allowing the dinosaurs to co-exist with humanity. Imagine dinosaurs that can talk and have feelings and emotions living with us after years of genetic breeding to make them even smarter than their current state! We could use them for regular day jobs and pay them and have them pay taxes as well. I mean the reasons why i'm so corrupt in this argument is because my nation is strictly controlled by the Aristocracy and they like dinosaur entertainment.

What does turning dinos into humans have to do with choosing to rescue dinos from a volcano or not?

That's a fantasy universe, Jurassic World is loosely science fiction.

That proves we CAN coexist with Dinosaurs therefore allowing us to save the Dinosaurs from the erupting volcano!

Well, save them and put them where?

I'd put them on Isla Sorna if that's still around. Sort of a Dinosaur sanctuary already.

This doesn't prove anything. In your fantasy universe you can do this with pretty much any animal given enough time. Why prioritize dinos? Dinos no longer belong to our biosphere, they're an invasive species from the past.

If I remember correctly, it was an archipelago of 5 islands so I think Isla Sorna might be too close to the eruption.

After consulting a map, Isla Sorna and the other 3 islands were 87 miles from Isla Nublar. Still, might not be a good idea to just dump the dinos there, an influx of dinos would upset whatever ecological balance was achieved there if any.

I told you all! I don't care what happens to alternate universe me as long as the dinosaurs live. Plus Isla Sorna gained a very tropical and lush green rain forest setting.

Better there than anywhere else that the ecological balance be upset.

Unless there's another isolated island far away from any other modern ecosystem.

Well obviously for the sake of the scenario it is your reality therefore you must make the decision to case your vote to save them or doom them

Still, we don't know how violent the eruption is until the movie comes out. Isla Sorna could still be in the danger zone. Also, an influx of dinos would be an ecological disaster. There wouldn't be enough food or territory for all of them.

The eruption is pretty fucking violent. The island pretty much explodes.

Yes so we can only go by the trailer and that is what the scenario is based on. Plus this thread is too remain spoiler free.

Well, you can't keep them on the mainland either. Because dinosaurs would clearly be a danger to the modern ecosystem.

Why not have Disney create a Dinosaur Kingdom or something? If it can be done for Animal Kingdom why not dinosaurs?

So a Krakatoa 2.0? Then Isla Sorna is probably done for.

I feel like you really haven't understood the movies. In every single one of the the dinosaurs escape captivity and kill a bunch of people. Why do you keep suggesting this dumb idea in a universe where it has been proven repeatedly not to work?
