If you want to use something as an argument you should first make your case for WHY this thing even matters.
Passing on the future generation to children, so your family line doesn't die out and so society continues. Even in nature animals have babies so they can continue living and providing for their society.

Insemination, donors, adoption, having sex with someone for the means of procreation, or if the partners happen to have the sex organs necessary to do so (not all queer couples are cis). Additionally, this sort of argument always comes down to the idea that the only valuable part of a relationship is the ability to have children. Are we going to start annulling the marriages of the infertile or elderly once they can no longer conceive?
I know gays have children, but gays do not naturally have children with eachother. As you've said they have to adopt, have a donor, or inseminate someone else to do it. Two men or two women can't create children by themselves to themselves.
And I never said it was a requirement as well to have children, but it certainly is part of life. Those who are elder or infertile but are married are still purer in the eyes of the Lord while not having children, than a gay couple who adopts kids or has one created with a surrogate mother.

I... actually kinda like the idea, to be honest. An alternative form of porn that does away with the questionable stereotypes and clichés, and is devoid of a commercial incentive, sounds pretty good. We kinda already were getting that with amateur porn, though... but the more the merrier, I guess?

Excuse me, but isn't this coming from the exact same group of people who claim that women are more then sex objects? Why, on earth or any celestial object, would they think doing some femdom with taxpayer money is gonna do that? What would be the purpose at all? How/why would this somehow inspire women to pursue STEM degrees, or really...do anything progressive?

That's quite a big lot of loaded questions, m'dude... but I'll give them a shot.
1. Not necessarily.
2. Maybe they are sex-positive feminists who think that the problems with porn can be solved by creating new kinds of porn, with a new sort of gaze, framing, casting, etc., rather than by abolishing porn altogether?
3. Apparently to create a richer, somewhat educational alternative to a very popular form of sexual entertainment that can influence how many people think of sex in real life?
4. What an odd question, that last one. Seriously. It kind of feels like a non sequitur.

Forgive me for I am tired, and not fully operational with arguments and CITATIONS NEEEDED. Though I will note that every feminist I talked with want women not to be treated like sex objects, or complain of oversexualization.
Danceria wrote:The main point being that crap (pornography in the way it laughably depicts sex) being placed in a gold bowl (sex positive feminism) is still crap. Who gives a rat's ass about who's on top? Who cares about sex, really? In relationships, should you care more about the person, rather than what they do?
TL;DR: Sex is temporary, STEM is forever. Find a honest to goodness person you like and do all the kinky shit you'd like.

I imagine the framing, casting, directing, etc., would all be worked from a critical perspective?
It could well be like the difference between the Charlie's Angels movies and Mad Max: Fury Road.
