Shower thought:

IF the leftist-progressives are correct about abortion being healthcare, then it stands to reason that it should be treated like healthcare: that is, not funded by the state and left for the individual to decide. For healthcare to be funded by the state removes the individual component and attempts to force a "one-size-fits-all" approach to the uniqueness of the service. Hence everything from wait-lines to the travesty where the plug is pulled on children.

If abortion is not healthcare, then the same rule applies, as abortion is hardly the same type of healthcare that you would get if you broke your leg and needed an operation, and should not be funded by the taxpayer dime.

In any case, I think it should be agreeable that people should not be forced to fund things that they do not morally believe in.

Us "leftists-progressives" don't think all the other kinds of health care should be capitalist.

By the way, a person has a higher chance of dying from pregnancy complications or childbirth than dying of a broken leg, so I'd say abortion being covered is just as important.

I think healthcare should be funded by government, but then again I also think the economy should be the government so...

Otherwise, I'd say if the people want it publicly funded, then let it be so. If not, then leave it to corporations.

I am pro-choice all-round, but if people disagree they shouldn't have to pay. This may be difficult to enforce though - what if someone does agree but doesn't pay for it just to get out of doing it?

That doesn't mean you need eugenics.

It will happen--but it just means that the endogamous market-dominant minorities rule their own internal empires where the "common man" is the colonial subject. India, Russia, Brazil, and south Asia work like this.

Progressivism combined with eugenics and social darwinism has a long history, especially in the US.

There is one exception I make to government funded anything and that is free contraception. The cost is negligible and it would probably pay for itself over time.

I don't see such a policy as eugenic as I am not trying to improve the human race. However, preventing the poor from breeding is a net advantage for everyone.
