Perhaps, in the future, a poll can be made to get an idea about it.

Accuracy, reliability and sufficient power for the task asked of it. Each of my guns has a specific purpose, but I don't care for over-specialization for the most part.

Reliability and accuracy, from what I remember, are the two main ones (for obvious reasons). As for the third point, you mean using a specific handgun for home defense while another one is for more for the car? Caliber and size play a role there I would assume.

The former because they'll make you wish you were never born and the latter because it always escalates to federal involvement and despite Congress and Corporate's best efforts the US is extremely protective of its postal service.

Not saying I disagree, but I was more referring to his buddy with all the connections getting killed in a home invasion. But yeah, the drug thing was stupid. And I frankly see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to own firearms just because he was going to sell drugs. That's mega stupid and makes virtually no sense.

IIRC, he wasn't planning on selling and rather was simply using. At least that's what he said on podcast so... *shrug* Still shouldn't be illegal, just don't do it where the stench bothers others if you're lighting a joint.

He was forced to admit he had the intent to distribute in court in order to avoid being convicted of more severe offenses that could land him decades in prison.

A couple of interesting ads showed up on my fb feed today. One openly offering autosears for ARs and Glocks, and the other one selling suppressors as "fuel filters". The ATF must be having a slow week.

We should drop off a few packages of auto sears and unregistered suppressors at the ATF headquarters, and then David Chipman’s house.

We might be able to get the ATF to raid themselves.

On another happy note, the lege here has passed constitutional carry. The bill is in reconciliation now and after that, just waits for the Governors signature. If all goes well (they still have a little weasel room) the law will go into effect September first.

Happy days. I get to pick up my Webley Mark VI today. Now all I need to do is figure out where to source some .455 so I can take it to the range.

You might have to go with custom loads, or reload your own. I am not aware of any factory offerings for ammo, but then again, I am not really up on British sidearms.

Fiocchi makes it, but according to their site there is no local distributor. I did find some for sale on graf's website, but they refused to ship to me cause I live in California. Time to go hunting at the gun shows, or see if a local place can special order for me.

Sorry about cali. LGS would be your best bet I would think. I have an LGS here that ill order anything gun or ammo wise if its legal. The found me my first boxes of .327 Federal. I asked, and they said they had a source for .50-90 Sharps. I think the dude could find 3mm colibri.

Reloading your own is pretty much the only option right now for .455, even pre panic buying unless you want to pay rifle prices for pistol rounds.

Probably varies wildly depending on year of manufacture, what marks it has, if it saw combat or not etc etc

Also, kind of related to that question, have any of you ever felt that what you want to collect might be impacted by something that is particular to you? I've noticed recently that one of the reasons I am (just barely starting) trying to get into collecting old military bolt-action rifles is that, with my autism, I have a few sensory issues which are rather uncomfortable, and I find the sound and feel of a bolt-action (in particular the mauser action and its derivatives) to be really therapeutic.

^ This.

Rough estimate is a few hundred to a few thousand, pending the above listed variables in today's market as well as where you are physically in the country as some things are way easier to get then in others.

On some level, sure.

Myself, I enjoy surplus rifles of any kind. Though when I started collecting I tended to start in the WW2 era before moving on. Today, I'm still collecting them, but tend to lean towards pre-1900's era firearms with a emphasis on Civil/Revolutionary War era things.

Two separate things, don't get confused :V

Luger refers to Georg Luger who developed the Luger pistols of WW1 and WW2 infamy whereas Ruger is a firearms company that manufactures many different firearms nowadays. However, you will find 9mm Parabellum also referred to as 9mm Luger since Luger developed the cartridge way back yonder.

Thanks for the tip. Will look into it. Stopped by a local place on the way to pick up, and he said that he could order for me, minimum one case, and it'll take "a long time" to get it in. Still probably gonna order a case.

I'd prefer if you didn't hate me since esp. since it is in fact uncut, cause it's missing a hinge pin screw, and the barrel latch spring is broken. Reloading is the plan, if I can locate the dies in stock. I've already ordered brass from starline, and bullets from missouri bullet company. :)
