GUN TALK: Doubletap

Fuck, the more I think on it, the more annoyed I become at the fact I need, at the bare minimum, 3 more guns: a shotgun, a DMR, and an SMG-style firearm. I say that for the last one because my MPA 9mm is fubar'd by a few new parts it needs. Mainly a new hammer and perhaps a new upper receiver since I accidentally dropped it and now it looks slightly bent causing issues when I charge the handle back with the bolt in the firearm.

I am curious as to whether your 3D printed firearms are rifled and if so, are the barrels metal/plastic/etc.?

I've been following development of the FCG-9 and it is an interest of mine so figured I'd ask.

I do know a method for rifling a plastic printed barrel (apart from printing it with rifling) but I haven't tried i yet, and idk exactly how long they would last.

I have been researching guns a bit and it is my opinion that if you need a drum fed semi automatic shotgun to defend your home than you should probably move. Bet it would be good at defending yourself against a violent mob though.

Yeah they're really solid. Almost always cheaper than buying a full new gun too.

Been looking into maybe doing a P80 though I was curious as to if I should make it a CC weapon or no and if so the potential legal ramifications of having to use it in a SD situation? Especially if it had no markings.

That I really can't comment on tbh. I mean, I'd assume it would be legal because you made it yourself, but PD would probably give you a hell of a headache over it if you had to use it.

That's what I was thinking due to minimal/no markings/etc.

Disagree. Any firearm from flintlock pistol to belt-fed M2 is a viable source of protection. Even if the neighborhood is considered "safe" there is always that threat that persists, for the firearm is a tool that can be used as form of deterrence for the potential threat to being used as a last resort for defense.
