I am a fan of SF, Transformers, Star Wars, Star Trek, military history, retrogaming, NASA, and Nintendo, among other things.

Wat!!! Both at the same time!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!! Star Wars is superior.

Anyway, me likey Ruger 57.

OP of Empire's End RP, Frequenter of P2TM, and part of the F7 delegation along with -Astoria, Valentine Z, Western Fardelshufflestein, La Xinga, and Nooooooooooooooo.

I tried looking it up using foreign information networks but I kept seeing footage of knights being butchered by a rabbit... I don’t think that was a legitimate source.”

...and Josephus sorta started a nuclear war, so I'll just ignore the fact that Kakistopia has almost 50% of deaths due in some part to the God-Empress, and I'll also ignore that Josephus XII was raised as a child-soldier, and I'll say Josephus is the more horrible leader.

Has more to do with what year you jumped into the franchise.

There was a time when Trek was doing better, sometime between the remastered director's cut trilogy-pack and episode II; there were plenty of exceutive decisions with the film/franchise that left fans sour.

Plus around that time Enterprise kinda got rolling in an otherwise totally uneventful year where absolutely nothing interesting happened.
-That said, the next-gen crew was pretty iconic for about 33 years... kinda a shame they had to drag out Piccard from retirement in a bid to prop up the franchise... that's like reviving Palpatine and Lord Vader and trying to gaslight right through the events in episode VI because making a good original villian is hard.

anyways, back onto topic

Granted, they fail home-defense for not taking the Biden approach of firing two blasts of a shotgun into the air and/or through the door/wall.

I was talking to my grandfather, and found out he has a .38 Special he got from his father. I'm hoping I'll be able to see the revolver at some point, and maybe figure out what make it is. My grandfather did say he was unwilling to part with it.

Be careful with your ammo and don't mix it. A .300 BO can chamber in a 5.56/.223 barrel and end in disaster.

On a different note, anyone got recommendation for a good set of detachable iron sights for a 16" AR-15? I was thinking MBUS Pros but I wanted a bunch of internet folks thoughts.

I need answers to this question from this thread: In a firearm, what ideal things you want in it? Things like affordability, interchangeability (such as parts and magazines with other weapons), ergonomics, etc. for example.

Edit: Asking because I am curious about what most people look for in a firearm.

Perhaps, in the future, a poll can be made to get an idea about it.

In regards to the poll, I will never be able to stop loving a wood stock. It’s a little heavier and more breakable than a synthetic stock, but I love the feel of it and just how solid it feels. My rifle, a Ruger Gunsite Scout, has a wooden stock, and I love it.

The biggest question is "do I want it?" Most cool guns are suboptimal in one way or another. Affordability I've learned is more a question of time preference. The cheap option now really just means you still long for the nicer, more expensive gun you really wanted but now have to save up for again. Buy once cry once.

So has anybody noticed that reloading companies have started to put out more affordable newbie starter kits with all of the stuff needed to start rolling your own?
Seen a few at Academy and I get email updates from RCBS and Dillion, those kits are more-so complete than the starter kits I started with back in the day.
I do wonder though, how frustrated some people will get when they find out the run on ammo at stores also means a run on reloading supplies or limited supplies due to ammo manufacturers ramping up ammo production?

When we've gone shooting at the range, I've become a Brass Bandit due to the possibility that we'll need to reload in the future. Most folks at the indoor range I frequent buy the 2 box limit, shoot, and leave. As such, there is plenty of brass to pick up and the RSOs are happy that I'm politely cleaning out the stalls once shooters come and leave. I've plucked about 1,500 casings off the ground of .223/5.56 so far.

The ranges that I frequent, I too pick up brass left by other shooters, I'll take it all. People look at us in a funny way when we walk in with 5gal buckets and firearms.
As for my own brass I use brass catchers on my firearms.

There is also the cash for brass route.

I was laughing one day because one of the guys at the range had his son and he was standing behind his son who was using his AR-15 with a cup and was catching all the brass in it.
