You did however mention crown, and you are quite right. The security and judicial system of the UK are not unbiased. They are very much a national appendage of the crown in which power is ultimately vested.

Which means, that if the crown was supporting white supremacy or Tommy Robinson, there would be little reason, short of the judiciary rebelling against them in this grand plot, of them acting in the manner as they did. They arrested him after all, it's not as if they handed him the George Cross.

I think the British judiciary acts independently from the Crown. The Crown can agree or disagree with a specific action but the judiciary has to follow the law regardless of the Crown's opinion. I could be wrong but this is my impression.
