I’m open for a dictator role. You got a solid 50 years of a benevolent chill dictatorship. All I demand is stuff the president already gets, so no major budget impact either.

I don't exactly want a blatant dictatorship either, but this is all quite off topic I imagine because I'm not POTUS.

Great, so now we just need to win over the military and the security apparatus, and then... hey, wait, what if I want to be dictator? Or WRA thinks he's better cut out for the job?
Well, I guess some rule by assassination would spice things up around here, at least.

Eh, we’ll still need cabinet secretaries. Besides, I’ll probably be too busy partying to do anything besides rule on the most serious conflicts between my secretaries. Not a bad gig.

Not a blatant one, just a quiet one that doesn't oppress people loudly, so you can pretend it isn't happening?
It's not that off-topic, really, we're discussing political opinions and the American political system, and ways you want it to go, in a thread about the American president and American politics.

Make a thread on why you think democracy is yesterday's news and whatever you want to replace it, then, because right now I'm getting a vibe of "oops I said something dumb and am now going to insist on returning to the topic of Trump so I don't have to talk about it or explain myself"

Oh yeah, saw that letter about how the President isn't capable of breaking the law since he is the nations chief law enforcement officer, so he would only be undermining himself!
After my brain rebooted from the stupid I played another round 'Imagine if Obama had done it' and thought about the calm, respectful agreement that surely would have come from all conservative corners if Obama's attorneys had ever made such a claim.
The moved on to the amusing thought that if that's true, then even if all the nutjob conspiracy theories about OBama infiltrating and spying on the Trump campaign are true...doesn't matter, he was POTUS so he was entitled to do it. Trump Logic!
The unprecedented letter contends that Trump could not possibly be charged with obstruction of justice for firing former FBI Director James Comey last year, as the Constitution grants the president absolute authority over federal investigations.
The Constitution allows the president, “if he wished, [to] terminate the inquiry, or even exercise his power to pardon," the letter reads.

I'd say the economic success would be the defining aspect of his Presidency.
