When the clocks are melting it's a bit too late to check with the DEWS (Distant Early Warning System).

Trump clearly wants to meet with Rouhani, but also doesn't want anyone to think that he's asking for a meeting. It's like something out of an episode of Friends, but far, far worse.

Tbh, at this point he's probably one of the few people in his cabinet who isn't qualified to hold, or be part of, a summit. Most of his cabinet (even those not part of it that run things for him a la his children and wife) would do better than him.

Most of the politicians are probably better than him though I still wonder if Kushner and Ivanka are more idiotic than they seem.

You know, if you ever run into someone who says that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is a "witch hunt" and should be shut down because the President "has more important things to worry about," tell them this....
...when Bill Clinton was president, the Republican Congress appointed Ken Starr as Special Counsel to investigate the phantom scandal known as "Whitewater," to find out if Bill and Hillary Clinton had engaged in any shady real estate deals back in the '70s and '80s.
Ken Starr investigated the Clintons for two years. Bill Clinton never called it a witch hunt or angrily ranted that he had the power to shut the investigation down.
After two years, Ken Starr could find no evidence against the Clintons that would hold up in court. However, he DID find that Bill Clinton was cheating on his wife with Monica Lewinsky -- which is dishonorable, but not a crime.
That was all they had. A blowjob.
To make it a crime, they pressured Clinton to give testimony before a grand jury. Clinton lied, famously saying "I... did not have sex with that woman." Clinton did not know that there was evidence of his tryst, i.e. some of his jizz left on a blue dress.
Bill Clinton was IMPEACHED for lying to Congress and obstruction of justice. But the votes to convict him in the Senate did not materialize.
All the while -- this was 1998, 1999 -- Clinton was warning that America was under threat from an Islamic terrorist group called "Al-Queda," who had struck American assets overseas. On two separate occasions, Clinton launched missiles at factories being used by a terrorist named "Osama bin Laden."
Each time, Republicans claimed that he was "wagging the dog," i.e. trying to distract from THE BLOWJOB with all of this nonsense about Islamic terrorists. Monica Lewinsky became a pariah and there was laughter and derision for two years.
When George W. Bush became president, he ignored all warnings about Osama bin Laden and Al-Queda -- probably because the Bush family had close business ties to the bin Laden family.
...and the rest is history.
The Republicans ground the nation to a halt over a sexual affair.

That if you are a Republican anything is ok.
They probubly believe Kavanaugh will declare the President is above the law and thats why they wont impeach.

"No collusion!"
If Democrats win the House in the midterms, he's going to go full bore on the "Russia is really helping the Democrats!" line of attack. I'm not looking forward to seeing that shit on Twitter ad nauseum.

I wouldn't be shocked it he flat out refused to work with Congress and threatened to nominate people without Congressional approval.

Oh, come on. There is absolutely no reason or precedent to believe that kind of thing would happen.
