Then he's an idiot. Because if that were the case you would have about 7,000 people per week dying of asteroid impacts across the world. That just isn't happening.

The article you cited gives the figure at about 0.000039 micromorts per year. A much more reasonable figure.

Makes sense. *gives cookie*

The problem is FAR outweighed by the benefits of gun ownership.

No, but calling this a school shooting is a good example of the misinformation* spread by the gun grabbers to support their agenda.

*Using the term "misinformation" is being very magnanimous. You can't even accuse the grabbers of ignorance anymore. It is plain, outright lying at this point.

I can see this being a compelling argument for you guys to the bystander. "Another school shooting." "IT WASN'T A SCHOOL SHOOTING!" "Oh?" "YEAH, IT TOOK PLACE IN A SCHOOL PARKING LOT! TOTALLY DIFFERENT! IT'S ALL LIES!" "Oh, okay...school parking lot shooting...people still died, though, yes?" "BUT IT WASN'T A SCHOOL SHOOTING, IT WAS A SCHOOL PARKING LOT SHOOTING! CLEARLY THIS MEANS WE SHOULD HAVE ALL THE GUNS!"

Yeah. Go with this. This should be a winning strategy.

Because here in Georgia we don’t give a shit what happens in the parking lot. It’s not even considered the school under the law. You are legally allowed to leave your guns in your cars parked in a school parking lot.

The local news actually distinguishes between shootings in buildings and shootings in a parking lot. Normally by saying a shooting happened near a public school or Shooting near a Walmart. But hey what ever keeps your misinformation campaign running right? Because fuck the fact that even the local news outlets aren’t reporting it as a school shooting, it’s a school shooting because I have an agenda to keep up.

A bulky part of it is, actually. Chicago alone has around 700-800 gun homicides yearly, which answers for a tenth of the 8000 deaths caused by armed crims.

Only two people got shot and only one died so it's nothing to worry about anyway. It might even have been gang related and so the people who got shot are even less valued.

All fatal air accidents are investigated by the NTSB, who makes recommendations to the FAA, which sometimes results in new regulations. After the recent Southwest Air engine explosion, the FAA ordered inspections of all similar engines. In fact, this is why there are so few aviation accidents: persistent attempts to reduce them.

You never watched Mayday have you?

If you did you would know that there is an organization who's job it is to investigate air crashes and make flying safer.

Like what they did with Delta Air Lines Flight 191.

Hmm, if only there was people out there who investigated mass shootings and enacted restrictions on the weapons they used so that this event can be prevented.

To get the count up to 22 the grabbers have counted bb gun shootings, negligent discharges, shootings after school hours and shooting that merely took place near a school.

Agreed, that makes me roll my eyes every time I hear someone say it tbh.
Once you weed out all the gun-grabber bullshit padding the number, you end up with seven.

So a little more than one every month. How reasonable! Why would anyone think it's problematic that more children are being shot and killed in schools than soldiers on active duty? Guess it's just the price of freedom.
