That wasn't what we where talking about, we where talking about teachers buying a gun for work.

It could be spent on better things, thats all.

Anyway, what I was trying to say was that most gun control advocates don't want to take your guns or ban them.

It's a minority who wants that.

Yet they pass gun ban bills? Minorities don't do that?

They do when you only have 2 parties to vote for.

Congrats, that doesn't mean much when people in government are actually calling for that though.

Vote them out or demand that they change there view.

That would be the ideal solution but unfortunately the most passionate on this issue are the people who are happy with the status quo: easy gun access paid for by frequent shootings. The politicians who are getting in the way of solutions are just an extension of the real problem: the voters who are getting in the way of solutions. Fortunately they seem to be increasingly demonised by their own nation's media and culture so there's some justice.

Fair, I can take that as a position. It would make sense as well. Not going to try to change the school, though.

Might be worth a try.

Well, nice, some school security seem to be doing good things.

Might.

Kind interesting that the media only seems concerned when blood is spilled and runs the shit out of a tragedy and skip right over the ones where the shooter was stopped.

That's the part that makes me laugh. Gun control opponents dismiss all efforts at gun control by saying the 'other side' wants a gun ban so no progress can be made, all the while forgetting that they're an actual political party who can make laws themselves. If someone is desperate for gun violence to end, who will they vote for: the overeager gun control supporters who support research into the issue or the stubborn gun control opponents who only offer "thoughts and prayers" and wait out every post shooting trauma. Anyone who prioritises stopping the violence will be tempted to vote democrat because they're the only ones trying to do anything.

Media loves violence beacuse it gives them ratings.

In other news, Pope reaffirmed again today that he is Catholic. Water is wet scientists say, kid scientists say that watersides are fun.

We also just got this footage of a bear shiting in the woods.

You're amazingly out of touch if you think pro-gun people are being culturally demonized.

I get tired of this happening and nothing being done to stop it. But what makes this worse is Fox News conservatives are blaming Liberals and calling for all libs to be deported. I am not lying, go over to their website.

Do you have a source for that?

I, too, am tired of it. The solutions that people usually suggest just won't work, though.

I would argue that pedophiles are nearly universally culturally demonized here (often rightfully so), though that isn't the topic of this thread.

The comment sections on anything are always full of that sort of thing. It's not new (though still disappointing).
