My money is on a draw, both sides are honestly looking solid right now. Russia can get away with just a point here. Their massive GD will put them through unless Egypt absolutely kills Saudia. Though, if Russia wants to take away anything from this game they will need to contain Salah without being over focused on just Salah at the same time. Egypt needs a win or its game over.

But either way, this should be an interesting match, hopefully it will be goals galore.

I like how you mention the the two teams that have been in England's group, you really are obsessed. Colombia are better than England and Japan are probably slightly better or the same level as Tunisia. So this is an upset by an underdog. Is calling Japan one of the best teams in Asia even a meaningful title? Who are they competing with, Saudi Arabia? Korea? Australia? Iran? That confederation is weak as piss, weaker than Africa for sure, which has a much harder qualifying system.
You can't even refer to England without letting your seething bitterness slip through, calling them shitty Three Lions or the Eternal Anglo. Anyone who has this small-time mentality and obsession with a team that isn't even the one they support, willing them to fail at every opportunity is an easy target for ridicule as it's just so childish and I find it funny.

My view at half time: Egypt has not had any real attacking chances against Russia, whilst on the flip side, Russia have had a few chances to put the ball in the back of the net but they haven't been able to convert their chances into actual goals. However, if the game continues to play out like this, I think Russia may be able to get one in, or force the draw. Meh game so far.

You one think one would be smart enough to figure out that the 'epistel full of "fucks"' is clearly directed at Yaana Noore and not out of 'hating' or 'anti-supporting' England. I couldn't give a flying fuck if England to well or not, because at this point I've got tired of supporting or liking them. What a strike from Cheryshev Salah doesn't look too good right now. I don't think Egypt is reaching the Ro16 if things continue like this. Meanwhile, Russia is basically through. Six points and a goal difference of +7 going into a game against Uruguay. Saudia can't out do this unless Egypt absolutely collapses against them and Saudi somehow holds off being wrecked by Uruguay.

You see it here with people obsessed with Germany and willing them to fail, or against us with some Welsh/Scots rabidly anti-England. Nothing wrong with a friendly rivalry but there's a point where it just reaches obsessive levels and when you see people reaching the point of rage that a team they dislike has won (England in your case) I just think you need to grow up and get some perspective. When someone in this country is just always talking about Germany and making these cringey war analogies I laugh at them and tell them to grow up so I don't see why I can't do the same with you. Your anger and eagerness to jump into insults clearly shows England have hit a nerve for some reason. They're not even challengers for the tournament so - relax.

You know if I was genuinely angry about England beating Tunisia instead of it being about me wanting two teams to do well (both of which happen to be playing England, one of which lost against said team) somehow being the source of fucking amusement - combined with someone being the most obnoxious prick about it whilst pissing me off, I might have conceded to that point.

After watching them at Euro 16 where they one of the worst teams at the tournament and their joke of a performance at the Confederations Cup a year ago I was pretty damning of Russia's chances. I know they've only played two teams that are pretty poor and a Saudi Arabia team who are probably the worst team at the tournament but they've looked a lot more than positive and energetic than previously when they seemed old, slow and past it. They were expected to dispatch off Saudi Arabia of course but the manner in which they did was impressive. I thought this game would be quite close but Russia have been pretty convincing. Fair play, they've thrived under the pressure of hosting.

Egypt cant qualify unless they beat Saudia (if Saudia gets there shit together there could be a catastrophic upset) and will need to get a better GD than Uruguay and hope that Russia as well as Saudia is able to defeat Uruguay. Baring in mind that Uruguay had a cagey game against Egypt without Salah. Russia are practically through.
