This is no classic but Denmark are doing better than I expected. Yes their goal was a bit flukey but they've held their own in a game where I thought they would struggle to make their mark and not give Croatia a great deal of trouble. They're growing in confidence and this is anyone's game right now. If Denmark want to score they should get Martin Braithwaite off, such bad ball control and his shooting is wayward.

I was referring to this World Cup, rather than every World Cup dating back to 1930. If I had a dollar for every time a poster on NSG claimed that they totally had a response, but cannot post it, ever, due to time constraints, I'd actually be making money from NSG.

You called playing for the draw a "fresh new look at the game", which it isn't. It happens pretty often. If you really want I can name some examples I guess, didn't seem necessary was all. Just from this World Cup I can think of a few. Saudi Arabia against Russia, Saudis vs. Uruguay... Iran in all three of their games, Australia against France, Peru against France, Denmark against France...

Except they didn't. They tried to win. And they lost. I saw the game. What I meant there, was to point out that the Russia-KSA game was played in the midfield, like a standard soccer game; the Russians were just better at converting. Much better.
