The more people enforce rules like this, the more we pigeonhole bandannas and the like into the gang stereotype and the less likely we can do something about it. Policies like this only feed the problem and restrict freedom of expression.

Not to mention that we shouldn't be playing to peoples insecurity. If everybody did that then all it will do is make people more nervous, not less.
