Yeah. But I'd like them to be consistently let down by terrible backroom and coaching decisions, kind of like the new York giants. Every year, warriors fans would say 'This is our year, we could do something here' and then nope!

They’ll lose KD and Boogie after this season. Maybe Iguodala too. They could lose Klay, but that’s highly unlikely. They’re clearly on the decline.

But some other dynasty will step into their place in a year or two. That’s the nature of the NBA. It always has been, and it always will be.

Who do you predict it'll be? I've given up hope it'll be the mighty Houston rockets.

It depends on where the big free agents (KD, Kyrie, D-Lo) go this summer. Without any of them though, the Nuggets look solid. Their roster is young and their ceiling is clearly higher, and with a good coach (which they have) they could get there as early as next season. My surprise pick that won’t happen though? The Jazz land D’Angelo Russell who forms a deadly one-two punch with Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert holds down the defense, and they take no prisoners.

Bucks seem poised to take the mantle.

But not today, Toronto! HA!

At least if they lose now they can lose with dignity (unless game 6 is a blow out) instead of in 5 with the Raptors.

Eh, the Bucks might lose three of their starters this offseason.

KD had surgery on what is reported to be a ruptured Achilles.

Shame on the Warriors for forcing him to play. Achilles injuries are the most painful thing not named Hamstring.

Could be that this is an unrelated injury...?

The word 'ruptured' just makes me cringe.

Remember, going into game 6, that the NBA admitted that the Raptors should have been awarded a penalty in the last 15 seconds - GS won because they broke the rules, even with KD

Good for the Raptors and fuck GS, that makes it the second sports titan in the span of a day to lose a major sports championship and I am glad for it.

Looks like I've been wrong throughout the playoffs.

Congrats to the new champs! Now I'll be back to rooting for the Spurs. Go Spurs!

Boston Bruins. They lost the Stanley Cup yesterday.

And before I forget:

Trump can't invite the Raptors and make them eat his ham-fisted hamberders.

As a Canadian and a casual Raptors supporter, I'm happy that the Toronto Raptors won. :)

Toronto Raptors are 2019 NBA Champions!

My feelings exactly!
I've been joking on real time chat that it's time to break out the Cancon and party like it's 1995!
(Which I just remembered is coincidentally the previous year I watched a team I wanted to see win the Championship do so.)

And...Klay tore his ACL...that kinda dampens the fun of celebrating their loss a tad.

No one likes to see a team such as this go down like that, even if all it took were KD and Klay.

Drink.

This is a rain of terror.

(Actually, it probably almost certainly ensures the Black Caps will get to the semi finals. So I'm not too upset but it spoils the joke.)
