I haven't been following the NBA much (or any sports actually), but all I could think of when I saw this was "oof":

The Orlando Magic have been dismantled. It breaks my heart but 2 playoff wins in 9 years is beyond trash. Only thing that makes this worse? They not only got even worse players they got garbage draft selections. It's like the other teams knew they were desperate and robbed the Magic.

I'm a Mavs fan, but I've always had a soft spot for the Magic, as my late grandfather loved following along with their season. Of course, they didn't really play basketball that was worth watching in his latter years, but I do hope they manage to rebuild into a decent team at some point.

Making the 8th seed and getting killed in 5 is for cursed teams like the Magic and Pistons, not for well run franchises like the Spurs. The LA problem means that even prestigious franchises like the Spurs aren't getting players without genius trades and amazing lottery luck.
