Being that we're still without basketball and it was on game pass, I've been playing a lot of 2K20. Lot harder to be my favorite build (Big, rim defending/rim driving guy) in this than it was in 2K18.

They've been nerfing centers since 14/15 lucky if the game gives you more than 1 block per game, though in 16 or 17 they made rebounding a lot better only to fuck it up in 19. Beats 13 though where Muggsy Bogues out rebounds a 90+ overall center even when you're boxing out on defense.

I hate what they've done to attributes since 17. Your players are slow and unless you pick the athletic archetype for any position you're at a severe disadvantage unless you pump points in speed early. A backup 35yo+ bigman on a bad team should not be outrunning my 2 guard on the fastbreak.

Also let's go back to 2012 where mycareer was separate. I don't like having the same character for EVERY career file. My point guard is going to look really bad when you scale him up to 7ft when i want to play center. Let me make a new character and a new headcanon for each file.

I do love some of the characters I've made over the years Big Red Rivers especially.

Speaking of minutes. Fuck the coaches in these games. regardless of how well you're doing you'll randomly be taking out for the entirety of the 4th quarter or even THE WHOLE 4TH AND 2 OVERTIMES. Like what the fuck game. I had 40 going into the 4th in a close game and I get benched for 3 straight quarters and we lost.

I've been playing 2k13 again lately on the PC (cheat engine because fuck grinding, at least you could get VC in other game modes) and I got ROY, MVP, All-Star, All-NBA First Team, and Finals MVP and the fucking coach benched me 3 seperate times in the playoffs and made me the 7th man in the offseason. I demanded a trade because of this slight. I told them to trade me to Celtics, Lakers, or Bulls and they traded me to the Heat in exchange for DWade and Bosh. Fuck Toronto

If the league returning succeeds this is still going to be the worst season in NBA history. Everyone but players like Durant and Curry who were badly injured lost damn near the entire season and are going to be rusty AF. Momentum is all shot to hell, GMs and Owners are going to either cry into bottles of alcohol or force another year out of player contracts, older vets are retiring, bottom level players have less chances to earn a contract.

It's going to be a nightmare, even worse if the Lakers win the championship.

I thought that game manufacturers only got the rights on a rolling basis to use current season players, so I very much doubt it would be unless it's been separately arranged.
