I wouldn't rely too heavily on those classifications in light of how wonky they could be from source to source. Instead it's probably more prudent to adhere to the theories of scientific and anthropological experts. They largely conform to the argument I made, namely that Libya's population hasn't changed alarmingly much since the classical period.

Africa has more "races" than Europe and Asia, however the fact that all these races are dark skinned makes them in the eyes of most a single African race. My hair is only afro-shaped when I pick it, as is the hair of around 90% of black people I know. In fact, a quick Google image search of the word "Africans" showed almost no afros. That bust one of the images you were linked to showed is pretty consistent with most of the black people I've seen who don't pick their hair into an afro or wear it in dreads or corn rows, and it's about what my hair and beard would look like if I let the beard grow untamed and kept my hair around that length.

This leaves the Libyans as the only point of contention. Herodotus describes the non-Berber people in North Africa as being "dark skinned" and having "woolly hair" as well as Egyptians. Aescyhlus describes a "Dark, sunburned race" as belonging to both Libya and Egypt.

If you have contradicting genetic evidence to the ancient sources, I'd love to see it.

The Egyptions had brownish redish skin and were a Levantine people related to Anatolians and their closest decendants are the copts in Egypt

But isn't Political Correctness in a way a mean to achieve uniformity in society? Isn't Identity politics in general aiming to create a gag rule on who is and who isn't what, essentially labelling everyone as the same in difference and equal by default? Equality does not exist in nature, nature is unequal ..if we refuse to accept that we will not progress in our societies, in fact we will create more unfair and unjust societies that do not see who are the really disadvantaged people. I mean, when a Black Gay Woman claims she's as much in a vulnerable position as a white straight male cripple, that's wrong. Aborigines and dark Indians and Africans are a different race. The black race refers to sub-Saharan races same way African albinos or Jews(although the mixed race ones partially are) for example aren't in the white race
