Where do you draw the line? Do you need to get a passport to enter space, or just to land? What about uncolonized territory? Will planetary travel require a different passport than one used for travel between countries? What about space stations? etc etc

I assume we'd have some type of spatial coordinate system to draw up boundaries by the time any of that becomes and issue.

By the time we have spaceships we'll be able to arbitrarily define which space is a part of a nation and everyone be aware due to HUD. Unclaimed territory is like the sea IRL. Everyone can pass through, and it belongs to no one. No, clearance for a nation's location on earth is clearance for the same nation on Mars.

I've been meaning to read The Ego and Its Own for a while. Egoism as a philosophy appeals to me, though I haven't read the master yet.

I honestly believe in Egoism. All human morality wouldn't be a thing, if we didn't need to please others, for material, or psychological reward. Since we don't have an innate instinct to, say, save people from a burning building, but society makes it out to be a noble act, for which one should be commended, then we have more inclination to do it. So we are moral for our own self-interest.

I appreciate that, thanks. In ignorance I'm more under-informed than dumb -- there's at least a 50% chance I won't know who you're talking about if you give me a random name of a movie star or famous sports player, and I haven't fully read many materials considered essential to the political philosophy I follow. Case in point, The Ego and Its Own, which I haven't actually read despite considering myself somewhat of an egoist. Instead, I tend to just absorb information about politics from listening to others who know what they're talking about, which I'd say makes me fairly ignorant, if not egregiously so. You'd definitely notice it if I tried to insert non-meme feedback when people are talking about something I don't understand.
