I think so, yes. At least those are my personal reflections. Of course, the system may turn out to be completely different.

Hmm. I’ve never thought about localism as a possibility. That does seem to be a good outcome.

However, it will not operate as a dominating force. Instead, given the greater maturity among members of society, more power will be delegated to the grassroots. The federal government, whatever it might be called, will offer guidance and required coordination between localities.

That seems like one of the best long term goals for a communist society, or any society for that matter. A loosely organized union of local governments, within a sort of federation.

Good luck scaling back government and decentralizing it. It's usually a one-way path whose result is more government and a more powerful central authority, so ever feeding the monster doesn't sound like a good idea.

I don't plan to do it. IMO, no one will. The entire capitalist world-system, sadly including the majority of people, will cease to exist. The new system will be built on the ruins. (How's that for some cheerfulness.)

i dont think that changing the economic system will change the human impulse for more power even if it means you need to fuck everyone else to setup your personal "old stone building"
