I'm glad your teacher is bringing up the corrupt system of Brazil and the Temer regime. There should be more debate in schools. Unfortunately in the United States, many of our left-wing academics are blacklisted so much that the right-wing has taken to calling even the most milquetoast liberals "communists" or "marxists" to serve their interests and make students into perfect specialist of the most reactionary parts of the ruling class. There doesn't exist anything to be afraid of for these people. Many of the things won by Americans in democratic-labor struggles are being repealed. It seems that way for Brazil as well, who suffer from a Workers' Party unwilling to put the fear of God into unscrupulous exploiters.
