Saying "she" instead of "he" is kowtowing?

Imagine you meet someone who looks like a regular old cis guy or girl... and then you learn they were assigned the opposite gender at birth. Just out of curiosity... would you change the pronouns to match their birth sex or just continue using their preferred pronouns?
Because I assure you, way more trans people pass than you realize. There's a reason the trans community has the concept of "stealth."
It is impossible to fool me in that regard, I'm sorry. Don't get me wrong, some people can get extremely close. But the variables that add up to that are hard to come by (usually comes down to two things, lots of money, or starting hrt pre-puberty).

Also; no one is 'assigned' a gender... Lol. You either have a peen or you don't. Or some weird third thing that eventually is pared down to one of the two.

I don't have the willpower to go into the semantics, so I'll just leave off by saying you know exactly what I mean.
I have a pretty good eye for people.

Scroll through this, look at some of these images. Could you say that 100% you would have known they were trans just passing by them on the street?

Most of them, yes. The only one that made me look twice was the one with the bird tattoo. However, something is very clearly 'off' with all of them. Not that that is in any way bad.Jelmatt wrote:Yeah, the thing is, you wouldn't even know, so it's really hard for you to make a statement like that. You'd be surprised:
That's a cis man. Hasn't undergone transition or hormone therapy. It's obviously a cosplay, but at the same time, I'm gonna have to call bullshit if you think you'd be able to tell his birth sex by looking at him. Now consider how dedicated trans people are to passing... and it's pretty easy to see that it's not so simple as "Oh, I can always tell."
^^^this too
If you can't tell, you deserve it.

Ah yes, I was waiting for the pronoun ball to drop. Now let me ask you this; How accurate do you think your pronoun usage is? Or do you not care? If the former, you violate your own argument. If the latter, you validate mine.

Yeah, Imma call bullshit. There is no way you read half those people, unless you have some kind of paranoid suspicion that literally everyone you meet might be trans.
I've been around a great many trans people. Even dated a few. I have a good eye for people, I just happen to have experience with trans people. Though to be honest, if I see 'fake', red flags start popping up nonstop. Especially fake tits.
