I just giving an example by saying that state capitalism, while hierarchical, isn't truly right-wing, as it denies free market principles. I understand you didn't mention it, but I was just trying to explain my reasoning.

State capitalism can be used to cement hierarchy or to break it down by using publicly-controlled power to oppose private hierarchies. The reason for having state capitalism outweighs the existence of state capitalism itself.

Speaking as to atomization of society, me and a couple of RL friends were discussing the other day the phenomenon of close friendships and how our parents' and grandparents' generation seemed to lack them, but our great-grandparents' generation and previous generations seemed to have them. We floated everything from the Lavender Scare to the transitory nature of modern work to polarization of society. Thoughts? Is it just bad perception on our part?

I have had similar thoughts regarding friendships. Although I would say my parents and grandparents had more friends overall than my great-grandparents. Nothing as in depth as what you and your friends have thought up, though.

State capitalism is simply awful though. If you have a natural hierarchal society then there's simply no need for such a system to be in place for the reasons you stated

No, your observations are generally correct, however I disagree on part of our parent's generations. My father is basically your average guy "in the hood with his bubs".

I mean, I don't disagree that state capitalism isn't great, but the argument was whether a state capitalist or non-laissez-faire capitalist system could be considered right wing.

Strasserists definitely are. Rexists and Italian fascists definitely aren't, I agree, but most fascist ideologies other than those use some form of socdem economics.

Fascism had both leftist and rightist variants based on its proponents. The Gentileans & Futurists tended to be left-wing and accused of Bolshevism by the more right-wing factions for instance.
