Your status- with regards to relationships?

Inspired by the discussion about "Incels" -people who're involuntarily celibate. This is a poll and discussion thread about where exactly you fall in terms of your personal or dating history.

A definition of some terms is in order:

Chad & Stacey = A man or woman who is sexually active or has been before. A non-virgin by definition.

Incel = A man or woman who is involuntarily celibate. A virgin who wants to have sex, but isn't able to get a sexual partner for whatever reason.

Cel = Celibate. A man or woman who is certain they are able to become sexually active, but abstains from it out of choice for whatever reason.

Other = Any person who somehow doesn't fit into any of the above categories. This is meant to be all encompassing. The intention is for everyone to fall within any of the 3 above terms which have been defined, but if you don't- explain your situation please?

Now onto the discussion portion. What label would you or most people "outside looking in" most likely describe you as being? What is your story? Why do you believe that you are in the situation you're in now, with regards to relationships with other people or the lack thereof? Have you taken any steps to change your circumstances or do you even want to change?

I will admit that I'm most likely to be Incel, or involuntarily celibate. Not because I identify with a group of people online who hate women for refusing to sleep with them, but simply because I can be described as a person who is "celibate, but not out of choice." I have no sex life and no obvious means of getting one any time soon, because I'm either unskilled or unappealing enough in one or more ways; as to not be able to establish many relationships, much less with the opposite sex- be it a platonic friendship or in the romantic sense. I am for better or worse, the archetypical loner type for the most part.

What terms would you suggest in order to improve the poll or to make it more representative? The terms might be a bit insensitive, but I thought I did a good enough job in clarifying each term so people could make an informed vote as to their situation.

These terms are pretty useless. Like, a guy who had sex once in college, and hasn't had sex in 20 years would be a Chad. With all the hypermasculinity and fratboyesque sexual dominance that implies. I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

The new and improved version of the poll has been released. Hopefully, not so many people will boycott it now because they find it too unrepresentative. I've determined that the maximum number of mutually exclusive combinations which is possible are 4 choices. It isn't perfect, it allows for the possibility of people contradicting themselves. But if it is for the best, I won't object to this change.

Please re-cast your vote if you haven't already. But think carefully about it before settling on your choices.

Never been in a relationship, never had sex, dont really feel comfortable going to a sex worker as im paranoid as fuck about getting an STD from it or not knowing if the worker is doing it of their own choice or is being forced into this business.

I chock the lack of relationship and sex down to my own lack of confidence to approach a woman in that regard, which i largely attribute to my weight, but ive been actively taking steps to deal with that since the start of the year, having lost a few stone, so hoping as i can continue my own confidence will pick up a bit in that regard. For me- it is more or less, just having a personality that isn't conducive to establishing and maintaining friendships or socializing very much. I've been like this from birth. I'd kind of be like Gaara from regular Naruto, not Shippuden. Only I'm not violent, people aren't scared of me, and I'm sure there are some other major differences, but you get the point?
