Yes true nut people who are trying to make electric cars who aren't Tesla have problemsNeoOasis wrote:Northern Guaniet Sover wrote:I am not against electric cars but I think they are dangerous I am looking for the article because I remember that if you are in a wreck in one of them the car become untouchable metal
Depends on the crash. In the case of Tesla, their battery packs are incredibly robust. It takes some pretty extreme crashes for a BEV to explode or "become untouchable." Keep in mind that a gas powered car can become a fireball if the crash is severe enough. While Tesla fires do make the news, I would be surprised if gas powered cars catch fire less often in crashes.

I'd say the problem with battery-powered cars is more their tendency to keep reigniting when they do catch fire.

It runs. BUT, it's a freakin' lawnmower; I did not see it cutting any grass.

Along with the Nissan 370Z, the GT-R also turns 50 this year, which means we get to see a new Nismo and a special 50th Anniversary Edition at the New York auto show.
...
The special GT-R comes in two-tone, meant to represent the GT-R’s liveries from the Japan GT series. That blue, called Bayside blue, returns with white racing stripes, while the other option is a pearl white car with red stripes. Inside, there are more special touches, like a unique steering wheel and shift knob trim, special embossed seats and faux suede all around.

I'd say other automakers have fewer problems with developing and releasing an electric car to market. The only real positive Tesla has going for it right now is the Supercharger network. Otherwise their prices are high, reliability fairly low, build quality less than ideal, and apparently that 35k base model never appeared.
Meaning Tesla's missed the entry market by a few grand leaving it for Nissan and GM to pick at it with their offerings.
