Prolly not. I've always liked Citroen for their styling and tech. My dream car remains the Citroen SM. Lovely car.

The last Citroen I rode in was a 2CV. How is the ride on the newer ones?

That's an improvement over the 2CV, which was sprung for neither comfort nor handling.

Hyundai in Australia: Nissan was onto something with the CrossCabrio.

I hope they actually make that vehicle, even if it is only for Australia.

I like it because it's so silly, and I wouldn't have to get a Jeep if I wanted a 4 door convertible.

Does your car share any features with exotic cars?

My car shares the same sort of key with the Ford GT and a variant of its engine was used in the Koenigsegg CCR and CC8S, and the Panoz Esperante.

My dad's Corolla has the same ignition barrel as the Lexus LFA, and IIRC some newer Lotuses.

If you read the rules for that class for 1961 you will find that both tires and wheels must be from the original manufacturer and available on the production model. Mr. Gurney putting NASCAR wheels and tires was the reason for his disqualification, not Jag's influence.

Then according to that one article from Goodwood, Gurney should've been disqualified from the first race, because it sounds like the wheels weren't stock, and I don't think '61 Impalas rolled off the line wearing Dunlops.

Plus the whole "they never told me why the car was disqualified" sounds awfully suspicious if it was just something as simple as the wheels...

Quite possibly, but many times things sneak through once before they are caught.

Smokey Yunick made a career of it.

If the British officials couldn't spot something as obvious as Gurney's Impala running a non-stock wheel/tire combo, just imagine how many fast ones Smokey would've pulled on them...

I imagine a weird sort of "McCales Navy" style sitcom with a good ol' boy Smokey type running a garage during the 1960s British racing scene. I would watch that show.

So it seems I've managed to completely forget how to use a clutch. And in fact was doing it so wrong my instructor couldn't demonstrate what I was doing wrong at all.

I met a dude at the cigar lounge the other day, we hit it off. He asked where I lived, I told him in vague terms, turned out it was close to him. Eventually I was able to go, 'you know that beat up red and white Bus? That's me!'

I can't go anywhere anonymously.

When I started to type that it seemed relevant. Now, not so much...that's cool though. I dig Ghias.
