I think you are reading into it too much. Most online tests like this are meant to be very surface level, so as to not confuse a casual test taker. Basically, it's not meant to have nuance.

Look at this one. Now, I don't think the UN should be abolished, but I don't think it's an effective way of maintaining global cooperation and diplomatic ties either. What about this question. Do I think military action by our nation is often necessary to protect it? No, no I do not. Do I think it's sometimes necessary to protect it? Absolutely. So what do I choose? A soft agree or soft disagree? If I choose a soft agree for some reason I get a boost to authoritarianism again, and a soft disagree for some reason gives me a boost to libertarianism.

Or this one. I don't think it's just important that we maintain our national sovereignty, I think it's important all nations maintain a level of sovereignty. I'm largely a proponent of noninterference except in cases of humanitarian crisis. But again, that increases authoritarianism. I don't want my government more authoritarian. I just want us to leave other countries alone.
