There isn't a way to my understanding, without her forsaking what Islam says or without you forsaking what Christianity says. Unless you convert to Islam or if she becomes an apostate in abandoning Islam for your faith, then I recommend that you leave her. Practically speaking, this is the only way. "Be not unequally joined together with the unbeliever." In the Old Testament they were forbidden from intermarrying with the Heathen. You'll want to do your Christian thing and she'll want to do her Muslim thing. No way it can work.

Sort of. He said he had not come to abolish it but that he had fulfilled it. Generally, this is taken to mean that humanity is not bound by the old covenant with God (the Jewish one). Instead, we just simply believe in Jesus' divinity and all that jazz.

IIRC it's because under Sharia Law the wife adopts the husband's religion, and Islam ain't too keen on losing followers.

Uh, not really. He said he came to fulfill the old covenant, which he did, and that with his crucifixion and by following him then all sins are forgiven.

IIRC, the only part of the Bible that says that Christians should still follow the OT didn't even come from Jesus, it came from someone else.

No, the Old Covenant was fulfilled and is no longer binding. There was a very early Ecumenical Council dealing specifically with this.

Maybe I'm not the best kind of people to give an advice in a situation like this (since I was born a Muslim already), but if I may ask, why do you decide to convert to Islam?
If you have already decided to remain true to Islam, then maybe you can rethink the reason on why you decide to become a Muslim. Perhaps you can also deepen your knowledge about the religion, and pray, asking for some direction from God, if you have some free time.

About the Christian private school, it can be hard, sure. Both of my parents are Muslims, and they used to go to Christian private schools during their elementary and high school years, if I remember correctly, because of the condition of where they used to live. From their stories, I don't see any particular problem with being there....unless the situation in your place is entirely different.

My mother was also a non-Muslim in her younger years, and my grandma was only a Muslim right before her death (before that, she was a follower of Kejawen). So you are the one who can decide on how you want to live your life.

My advice is if you have a heart for islam, Allah will know your intentions. Besides, maybe the Christian private school will be an advantage for you. To learn about christianity when preaching Islam in the future.

Shariah doesn't apply to non-Muslims. Which brings me to another question. Let's say a utopian nation practices Shariah law. This is why Muslims aren't allowed to kill each other in said utopia. Then a person from a death cult moves in. Would the utopia be able to punish the cultist for murder? Please explain.
