Tired of debating the same thing with people over and over again, and it really diminishes the productivity as well as interest in this thread, especially from people who want to sincerely ask questions about Islam or have a benefitial discussion on the faith. Anyone get where I'm coming from?

I mean, I get we are on a debate forum, but still. I would like to do something different.

The former I sympathize with the latter befuddles me as much as other forms of monarchy/aristocracy.

Interestingly enough, I was actually thinking of bringing up the topic of Khalifat in this thread.

I'll give a reply tomorrow as I got a sleeping schedule to change due to college in less than a week.

In my opinion, a religious state is by definition illegitimate and should not exist (I'll go further with this: if a territory has a theo-state, it does not have a state and in my opinion, it is free real estate for any other person to found an actual state on) but, in all seriousness, popular will is superior to ancestry where the theocracy is concerned (which is not true where monarchy is concerned, though elective monarchy isn't that bad either imo)

Oh, he did convert the deceased Nabeel Qureshi, but that still doesn't make Wood credible.

Wood seems like a psychopath so his faith barely changed him. He just isn't violent and psychology says not all psychopaths are violent

Most apologists, from my experience, have it high in their heads in the sense that they deem themselves almost infallible. I don't bother converting people, but rather sharing my knowledge.

Islam has laws of hospitality that date back to Muhammad's time or even before. Immigration and accepting of refugees is particularly important in Islamic history in the Hijira. After Muslims became extensively persecuted in Mecca, they fled to Ethiopia and then Medina where they were welcomed by the Medinans and protected.
