Also, there are Iranian Arabs. You do realize that, right? We even got invaded to "free" them and then they ended up supporting Iran over Saddam.
Edit: You still haven't told me how I was being racist.

This phrase is pure Fascism. I'm appalled. Also, there are Iranian Arabs. You do realize that, right? We even got invaded to "free" them and then they ended up supporting Iran over Saddam.
There are also Israeli Arabs, but that doesn't mean they are happy to be called Israeli. And most Ahwazis actually love Saddam and hate the Mullahs.Edit: You still haven't told me how I was being racist.
Claiming the entire Middle East doesn't exactly sound like peaceful coexistence to me.

1- Qajar. I personally hate Qajars, due to their ineptness.Sahansahiye Iran wrote:Pilarcraft wrote:It's funny because, well, for all their faults, Reza Shah was responsible for modernizing Iran in every sense of the word (during the Qajarid Period, we literally didn't have a standing army, any form of social security, almost no legislature (until the last few years, at least) and the country was basically a feudalist shithole). And Muhammad Reza, at least at the beginning, was trying his best to bring democracy to Iran, and even afterwards, as he started getting more and more absolutist (until he essentially illegalized all other parties with The Rastakhiz) he still improved civil and personal freedoms considerably.
And Reza II (The current head of the dynasty) is a pretty cool guy, though he doesn't even sound like a monarchist most of the time
It's more of a personal thing. I can't bring myself to at all like the man who ran the SAVAK. Especially not the SAVAK that killed all of my father's brothers and tried to kill my father.

2- Yeah. Mohammad Reza kinda went nuts in the last decade of his reign (or, in another argument, pretty much after the events in 1342)

1. Yeah. They're not really my favorite dynasty either. Lost the bloody Caucasus. And their founder was the like blinded all of Kerman, right?
2. Hehe. 1342. I knew Muhammad Reza was a monster but I didn't know that he was an immortal vampire XD

Honestly, the sooner we fix Iran and throw out the Mullahs, the quicker we can fix the shithole they've turned Iran into. We don't need the problems of most of Middle East and the Plateau on our hands on top of that :/Sahansahiye Iran wrote:Pilarcraft wrote:Friendly Reminder that Persian People (Kurds, Balouchs, Azaris, etc. etc.) have been in both The Middle East and the Iranian plateau than the Turks (*cough* Mix of Arabs and Mongols) and The Arabs have been. Boo. Zoroastrian Theocracy is no better than Islamic Theocracy. I personally prefer The Achaemenids (at least, until before Ardeshir I) and the Ashkanids, even though they had somewhat of a Hellenistic theme.

I mostly remember the Umayyads as being the second Islamic caliphate that got defeated by the Abbasids and went "You know what!? I will flee to Spain and create my own caliphate, with chess and harems!".
And thus my ancestors might have a tint of Muslim blood.

Umayyads got into power by trickery (almost literally. Amru ibn As tricked Abu Musa A'shari in the parley after The Saffayn, into giving his overlord (Mu'awiyye) the Caliphate) and then kept that power by murdering opposition and oppressing The Ajam... though then again, the same can be said about The First Caliphate and The Abassid Caliphate too...Western Vale Confederacy wrote:United States of Oceania wrote:
