You didn't make the OP, and the thread will be locked at 500 pages.

However, theoretically (in a spherical NSG in a vacuum...): Assume 20 posts in a page, 30 X 500 = 10,000 posts, 1 post every 2 weeks = 20,000 weeks = ~383 years = locked by the superintelligent AI mods in 2401.

If the ponderous discussion about hot dogs being or not being sandwiches manages to reach 500 pages, rest assured that a Hot Dogs Sandwich? PART TWO thread will see the light of day.

I'm going to side with the middle on this thread. Hot dogs may be a sandwhich in some contexts.

Sure it is. I like a hot Italian sausage sandwich (in a bun) with grilled onions and peppers. Not much of a step from there to a bratwurst and a hot dog.

The best dogs are grilled, and the casings *snap!* when you bite into them.
Mustard is the perfect topping; plain old basic mustard is fine but my favorite is spicy brown

Maybe the bun could be lightly toasted?

...now I'm hungry :(

That's what you get for mentioning spicy mustard.

It is good to have a hobby, no matter how culinary deranged it seems to commoners.

Got bread?
Got meat?
Got other stuff inside?

I deem it a sandwich.

Yeah, that's always true, though I don't know how I would make it.

Definitely. If you use two slices of bread, instead of a bun, a hot dog is a sandwhich.

It does have just the right kind of stickiness, so that's certainly an option.
