Well, they're coming to terms with North Korea, so that's partially a good news.

China has nuclear weapons? I thought it was just North Korea. I mean, if we come to terms with the DPRK, we can get rid of their nuclear weapons, n'est-ce pas?

NK supposedly has them. PRC has been confirmed to have them for decades

There are fears that China has thousands of nukes underground (although they've only been confirmed to have around a hundred nukes)

I mean, China definitely has Nukes in some capacity. The number is not obvious, but they do have them, how else would they find a permanent seat in the SC?

I bet they were made from the illegally-mined uranium from North Korea.

It'll probably lead to more sanctions, nothing more nothing less. All out warfare is not beneficial for modern states.

Direct military intervention usually provides more direct and quicker results that just sitting back and yelling “he’s being mean!” If the United States were to simply condemn the Nazis, do you think they’d stop dropping bombs on London?

We are going to war with Syria, before the end of 2018. We know this. The thing is, how long will it last. Will it be an Iraq war, lasting forever, or can we actually use diplomacy to end it. We can't use it to prevent the war, we're already on that downwards rollercoaster ride. We can use it to end the war.

Yes, but they also mine natural resources out of DPRK.

Not UN sanctions per se. I mean sanctions laid upon by either Russia or the West (ie USA, EU).

China and Russia have far more uranium deposits than North Korea. It would be much easier for China to get uranium from its own territory or from Russia.

Edit: If NK even has any uranium deposits

Yeah, they mine a portion of it. Maybe not uranium, but other natural resources.

Didn't Trump just launch a missile and air strikes on chemical weapon warehouses last night?

I honestly hope that this does not escalate to a major war with Russia and Syria

Yes. However according to the Russians the facilities were empty and not in use since 2013 or so. Which could be possible - no casualties have been confirmed.

No it won’t escalate to a major war

Well, it's far easier for China to get uranium from its own deposits and Russia for its nukes and power stations (China has nuclear power stations FYI). Everyone's probably sanctioned the hell out of any uranium shipments between China and North Korea.
