Hopefully the Russians bomb the shit out of American ships in the Med, but unfortunately that's unlikely.

The issue is that that will start American bombing of Russian targets, which is an excuse for WWIII. One free ticket to WWIII, for Trumptonium.

Assad has to be the dumbest dictator ever to have used those chem weapons in Douma, considering he had already pretty much won that territory, and taking into account the predictable consequences of taking such action.
I'm willing to accept the idea that those chem weapons were used(I have nothing to backup any doubts other than "America lied before" which is not enough) - but I have to be a bit skeptical that it was Assad. The wolf might be someone else.
There's a genocidal psycho just north of there who's been suspiciously close to IS and has taken any chance to bring chaos into Syria. But that's just speculation, for all I know those people could have shot themselves just to make the prophecy of the world-end war in Syria come to fruition. Or maybe Assad is just that demented. You know the world is messed up when Trump isn't even the craziest leader on the board.

I'm sure Russia will just scream and do nothing now, it's the cliffhangers we've been used to for decades. Or at least that is what I'd rather hope.

The arms industry in America benefits heavily from wars, It would not surprise me to see the politicians pushing for an attack on Syria to own shares in those companies.

Of course people are going to oppose an investigation by an international body if they do not trust the body or if it is filled with enemies.

Why do you think the UK opposes investigation of the Skripal case by OPCW when it is filled with Chinese and Russians?

Quite. That's why the UK never allowed the OPCW near the investigation.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) transmitted yesterday to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) the report of the OPCW’s mission to provide requested technical assistance in regard to the Salisbury incident on 4 March 2018.

The results of the analysis by the OPCW designated laboratories of environmental and biomedical samples collected by the OPCW team confirm the findings of the United Kingdom relating to the identity of the toxic chemical that was used in Salisbury and severely injured three people.

https://www.opcw.org/news/article/opcw-issues-report-on-technical-assistance-requested-by-the-united-kingdom/

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons confirmed the UK's findings that Novichok was used to target the former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in the English city of Salisbury.

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/04/12/europe/opcw-report-skripal-poisoning-uk-intl/index.html

Good call by the UK to keep the OPCW faaar away and not involved in any manner whatsoever.

Well, so far it only shows that the UK, US and France once more piss on international law and have no issue with warcrimes. It also shows once again that they have no respect for any law as they consider people/parties guilty without any sort of investigation.
Last but not least, R.I.P. Russia's guts. Surley they were informed again which allowed Syria to evacuate the sites, but they failed in striking back, basically allowing the US, UK and France to continue their illegal attacks on Syria.

Well, Syria pissed on international law first with their chemical weapon attacks.

Turning the Med into a Glowing Sea will at least probably reduce the number of refugee boats. If not, conversion to feral ghouls won't much affect the chances of them succesfully integrating into continental Europe.

I'm not an expert, definitely. I have always buried myself more in religion and psychology than military-type subjects. But further attacks will not stop evil, only replace one evil with another. If America would condemn Assad from a distance without getting the military involved, that should be enough to be morally superior without escalating the situation.

Being morally superior does absolutely nothing

The United States failed to even condemn the Nazis for far too long. That doesn't justify getting the military involved in everything.

We where attacked. That’s enough justification alone

They'll be fine if they eject in time. If these planes are running amok over Syria, Syria has a right to defend its airspace. Yeah, I'll freely admit that I so strongly disagree with certain portions of my government's foreign policy. The last time there was no one to stop the US, Libya happened. Only Russian weapons can keep the US out. We have no right to be there like Russia is.

A few things, first: the attacks are over and have been for some time. Second, we didn’t use planes but ships and tomahawks.
