Try persevering and staying up for an entire night and going to sleep when you need to be going to sleep. It's very effective, at least for me.

. . . have you tried staying awake longer, then? They key is making yourself as miserable as possible and make yourself prone to your brain trying to actively desire shutting itself down.

Sunday dinner is very serious business in my house. Especially the amount of cream that goes with the meringue pie. Because if you get it wrong, as my brother did you get a full on argument that ends with you being called adopted and a bit of a bitch by my mother.

Fun times had by all.

I need to do the opposite. Force myself to sleep at ten or eleven or so, inevitably wake up at 4, have a very short nap sometime during the day.

Could go a day or two without sleep (when I'm not going through a manic episode, which these days is mercifully always) in my teens but my body force reboots when it's spent these days.

Sadly, my body simply cannot seem to be forced into an unconscious state if it's not sufficiently tired. I wish I could force myself to sleep, but all that ever happens if I try is just laying in my bed for hours until I ultimately give up trying.

There is no April, and it does not compute.

There is only January.

Dogs worry about our pooping habits. Perhaps because we don't go around in circles several times before we poop.

On an average day, I stay awake until 3 am. I can't stay up longer. Just a healthy dose of insomnia here and there mixed with bad sleep habits.

Right? I've been meaning to log in more often but I can't seem to find the time. I'm all good. I'll be going to the Netherlands soon to visit a friend. I'll be there for 15 days, give or take a few.

How about you, dear?
