You'd be surprised by how many people are pro gun, but just keep it to themselves. I've ran into quite a few people at work who are pro gun but kept to themselves because a majority of the other employees are either anti gun or are fudds, and they don't like being put down or ostracized, I'm not one of those people, I'm pro 2nd Amendment and the whole work place knows it and I refuse to cower because it offends their sensibilities.

I've worn my NRA t-shirt to work. Come to find out, my immediate supervisor and the plant manager are both life members as well.

I'm not really supposed to talk about firearms at work. I honestly don't know why the USPS doesn't like its employees talking about firearms at work.

I had a thought on the way to work this morning: if guns were regulated "like cars", does that mean that getting caught with an automatic weapon/high capacity magazine/weapon that violates the Cosmetic Features Ban would be treated as a trivial matter like illegal window tints and punishable by a small fine?

Or is the pendulum going to swing the other way and tapping someone's bumper will be upgraded to a felony?

Well if they were treated like cars, that would mean, you need to have muffler (sound suppressor), also you can buy and drive any type of vehicle, trick it out till your hearts content, etc.

So the house passed H.R 8 pretty much along party lines with 8 repubs where it will die in the senate, one thing that has stood out about this bill if it were to be signed into law is the fact that it will bar those 18-21 yr olds from exercising their enumerated right to bear arms in states that have passed laws to raised the age to 21 to buy long guns.
In how the bill is written all transfers must be run through an FFL, an FFL will have to abide by federal law that bars those under 21 to purchase handguns, now in a lot of states, those under 21 may acquire and or possess a handgun if it was a gift, traded or bought privately. I could see a challenge on the constitutionality on this basis in how it would bar those individuals that live in states that raised their long gun purchases to 21, since they would have no way to exercise their right to keep and bear arms without breaking the law.

H.R. 8, and of course they called it the "Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019". You can usually tell a bill will be scummy if its creators feel the need to preemptively defend it by giving it an overly positive name. "UWU, would you pwease consider calling your representative and urging them to support the Mandatory Organ Harvesting act- OOPS, sorry, I mean, the Democratic People's Bipartisan Patriotic Anti-Terrorism Act?"

Also, a list of the Republican (In Name Only) serpents who voted for the bill:
  • Vern Buchanan (Florida)
  • Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania)
  • Mario Diaz-Balart (Florida)
  • Will Hurd (Texas)
  • Peter King (New York)
  • Brian Mast (Florida)
  • Chris Smith (New Joisey)
  • Fred Upton (Michigan)

I have put in bold the names of the pond scum who co-sponsored the bill. Be sure you do not forget this occurrence when it comes time to vote in the next round of primary elections.

It only goes to show, that after a few reports and stories even by left leaning rags that delved into UBC and in how it wouldn't do anything nor do what they want it to that those who voted on it only care about control while hiding behind the mask of illusionary safety.

no the best way to control your gun is a firm grip on the pistol grip and fore grip as well as not going full Rambo.
