It'd be one thing if the draconian gun laws were limited to NYC and not spreading to the rest of the state, but unfortunately that's exactly what's happening.

The last I checked, NYC is only the 63rd worst city in the US for homicides. What was it like back in the 80's?

Not saying it's all down to gun control but it seems to have at least helped.

What ever happened to the "they can get guns from across state lines" defense? Or does that only count when a anti-gun city has bad crime?

The 2nd Amendment is not completely off limits yes, but it is still a right that should be regulated under reasonable and logical laws, just like the First amendment in which you can't yell fire in a crowded theater or slander, or threaten with violence, but many of the current regulations on guns are completely ludicrous, absurd, and nonsensical since firearms are a constitutional right and not a privilege, which many States, e.g. New York, Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, etc behave like its a privilege rather than a right and regulate it with absurd and borderline unconstitutional laws.

You cannot uphold one right (Neo-Nazis or Antifa being able to spew their bullshit publicly) while also limiting one right to it almost being an hassle to have than a right (NY being on your ass about type of firearms and carry permits costing so much money). Its simply hypocritical and does authoritarian in nature.

Yes like in Cuba, after the revolution the Committtees for the Defense of the Revolution CDRs were authorized by the Cuban government to search homes and collect guns from people, they do not need a search warrant from a Court of law, in Cuba a CDR activist member can call the police and say, Compañero, a gusano worm has insulted the revolution and I think he has a gun, the police dont need a search warrant from a Court of Law, we call them Chivatos in our nation, Informers.

I am not making this up, the CDRs watch what other people do and report you for anything, against the Revolution.

As a Conservative Republican, I do support background checks and keeping guns away from the mentally ill, but any one can snap and commit a crime with any kind of weapon, it happens, so I hope gun control activists are not successful.
