If you took 2 pistols and welded a length of chain between them, would the resulting device be legal or illegal? Discuss.

Unconstitutional.Fartsniffage wrote:If you took 2 pistols and welded a length of chain between them, would the resulting device be legal or illegal? Discuss.
According to CNN (fake news!) nunchucks were defined as "two or more sticks, clubs, bars or rods to be used as handles, connected by a rope, cord, wire or chain, in the design of a weapon used in connection with the practice of a system of self-defense." A pistol is not a stick, club, bar, or rod, so this device would be legal.

A pistol can most definitely be used as a club.

I'm a Democrat solely because of Climate Change. If people threatened to nuke everyonne who didn't vote for them I'd vote against them and be proud if I died. Here, it's you guys holding everyone at gunpoint saying "Abandon Gun Control or die."
That is true tyranny. That is true satanic apathy for humanity.
That is true darkness.

If that's the case, why don't the Democrats abandon gun control?
Why don't they jettison literally every policy decision in favor of the Republican one.... Excepting climate change?
Why must we abandon our principles to unite under your banner. Most of us just don't give a shit about climate change. We're not actively against doing something. What pisses us off is that somehow climate change also means we should abandon everything else and be good little Democrats.
Fuck that. You know exactly what you need to do to get us on board and refuse. Obviously it isn't that important to you.

This exactly, don't cry about people being alienated if you're actively trying to alienate them.

Truth. It's also what lost the left the last election. Good to see that they still haven't learned that lesson.

The availability of guns at Walmart has become a hotly debated issue in the wake of two deadly shootings at its stores that killed 24 people.
More than 128,000 people have signed a petition urging Walmart to stop selling guns and take a stronger stance against firearms since the shootings at stores in El Paso, Texas, and Southaven, Mississippi. But the company has said it has no plans to stop selling them.
I went to Walmart with the intention of buying a gun last week as part of an investigation into the placement, selection, marketing, and security of firearms in Walmart's stores, and to learn more about the retailer's processes governing gun sales.
My journey to bring a gun home from Walmart turned out to be far more complicated than I expected...
