It's shows those who think that banning bump stocks will stop mass shootings or what not are wrong. And that humans are incredibly ingenious at innovating work arounds to authoritarian laws.

I love the bit about "assault pistols"(whatever the fuck those are) being transformed into "assault rifles" through the use of gun braces. That's not how guns work, Diane.

Well she’s already got every other talking going in there, might as well use something new I guess.

I also like how they act like you couldn’t possibly ever shoot up a place with a gun without a idiot grip. Like how the duck can anyone read that and think it’s rational?

Yeah, it's really astounding how asinine and ignorant these politicians are. And the made up categories....

Can someone explain to me what the hell an "assault pistol" is even supposed to be? It sounds like something they literally made up for the bill, since I've never seen that term before.

This is why firearms safety courses should be mandatory for high school students. That way, we can get rid of at least some of the ignorance.

It's existed since the 80's and originally applied to Tec-9's, MAC's and various other SMG style pistols.

Assault Pistol as·sault | \ə-ˈsȯlt - pis·tol | \ˈpi-stᵊl (n): A entirely made up class of firearm that includes a magazine that holds more than 1 round, functions in a semi-automatic action, is usually black in color, with the ability to shoot through 9" thick concrete walls and melt steel just by a ricochet. Sometimes includes optics, laser sight, flash light, flash suppressor, and/or a brace.

I wonder if the ranch style Mini 14 will be exempt by name while the “tactical versions” banned.

Well since it does keep the form of firearms of yore, it could be exempt.
I'm still at a loss in how someone can think that if a firearm looks differently than those of yesteryear, that it is somehow capable of being extra super duper deadlier. Does looks = function to these people?
