I started at age 12. At age 15 I had a negligent discharge while on a range and under command. I was distracted thinking about exams and I fired an aimed round before the order to fire was given.
People fuck up. Children fuck up far more frequently than adults. Their brain doesn't fully link action and consequence. It's why we don't tend to leave children alone without adult supervision.
