Justice, though the heavens fall? Law is not a suicide pact.

Justice at expense of all safeguards and hurdles is what society should strive for. The fact that the UK refuses to properly consider psychiatric injury, for example, is sickening; even more so when done to protect the court from a 'flood of complex claims.'

But I've forgot what the topic originally was.

A theory of justice that advances absurd interpretations is not justice.

Looking into the specifics of the gun control of Canada or the Canadian firearms market, it does appear that they have a retarded or logically inconsistent set of laws which make the AR-15 harder to get than say, a Ruger Mini-14 which is just like the AR-15 but "less scary" in terms of cosmetic appearance because it is more wooden.

Wood is much more sustainable than plastic or metal. Wooden guns should be more in vogue.

So in other words, they have a standard """assault weapons""" ban?

Yes actually. A large part of it is copied word for word from some of DiFi's proposals, right down to including super niche but scary looking guns like the Encom line.

Something that grows and is just carved is more expensive than products that have to be mined out of the ground and then heavily processed?

Seems like laws requiring wooden furniture might be a good thing.....

The point of me calling the age restriction unconstitutional is that if I at age 18, had to register for the draft, could vote (At such a "young age" as they call it), could drive a car (which is a bigger killer than guns) and could be tried as a legal adult then people who are 18-20 should have the right to own a gun. There is merit to perhaps limits on alcohol and tobacco but the difference is that unlike guns those are not rights. If people can vote at age 18, they should be able to buy a gun freely if they wish so, its about principle and about applying the law fairly and equally FOR ALL. Its the bill of rights, not "The Bill of Certain Rights you Unlock between the Ages of 18 until you're 21." All rights and laws should apply to all who are legally of adult age. That is my standing.

I argue this as a person is their mid to late 20's, because I care about people's rights being respected and not taken away over some psycho making shitty mistakes. The actions of a few should not take away the rights of the majority.

Damn never thought wood on an AR would make look so bad ass. Now I just need to find the Chuck Norris approved sticker. I'm sure it's somewhere on the gun.

I'm sure most of you have heard of the un att. Well it seems that the un itself is to blame for hundreds of thousands of arms fueling the black market and yet have the unmitigated gall to blame the United States for arms falling to the black market, when very few seem to end up there.
Read more: https://www.ammoland.com/2018/10/united ... ack-market
Behind all the pompous critiques, was the knowledge that they could not control their weapons, let alone ours. UN peacekeepers themselves are/were fueling the local Black Markets with firearms diverted from UN stockpiles. This is an important point that is rarely brought to light.

Such a good thing the United States isn't part of this att nightmare.
