Would the Lorenzoni repeating flintlock pistol be ok? Or is that too close to being a semi-auto?

Hmm. It is something that occupies that grey area between categories. Ask the guy that proposed banning semi-autos, as he seems to know his stuff...

What do you mean by semi-automatic?
That may or may not include revolvers for instance, depending on the definition.
It certainly includes a large number of weapons with no military heritage, like semi-automatic shotguns.
I suspect you might be referring to post-WW2 self-loading rifles with a military pedigree like the M1A, AR-15, AK clones etc.
I get the sentiment and somewhat agree with your goals, but it helps to get these things straight.
Personally, I think it would suffice to limit these weapons to those who demonstrate a good reason for having these weapons, like people who compete in shooting sports where these weapons are used, or pest controllers.

That being said, they are in a bit of a difficult situation because given current Federal US gun laws you don't have very much to give. You Americans really do have very, very liberal gun laws, your idea of draconian gun laws would make gun owners in other countries laugh or cry. There simply aren't very many gun laws at the Federal US level that could be repealed without practically rendering guns unregulated.
That being said, let me come up with some ideas for "compromises":
1)
Gun owners concede: Mandatory background checks for all handgun transfers, including private transfers. Liability rests on the last known owner of the handgun if it gets misused. This would be enforced by mandating the use of Bills of Sale to establish a chain of ownership. Mandatory reporting of stolen or lost firearms.
In exchange, silencers are removed from the NFA and the assault weapons import ban is repealed. Long gun purchase age is reduced to 16 years.
2)
Handguns are restricted to those who have a Federal Concealed Weapons Permit. Exceptions would be made for Olympic pistols, humane killers, flare guns, Howdah pistols etc.
The Permit is issued on a shall-issue basis and would be available to anyone that isn't a restricted person according to the 1968 GCA, and has in addition not been found guilty of misdemeanors related to alcohol abuse such as DUI's and public intoxication in the past 5 years.
In return, the obvious benefit would be the ability to carry handguns literally everywhere in the US.
