Fixed that for ya. The reason people are so interested in gun violence restraining orders ("red flag" laws) is because they are necessary. In many cases, people knew that somebody was likely to commit (mass) murder, but legally could do nothing about it.
Otherwise, yes: intervention seems to work, and the US desperately needs to figure out a better way for people to get decent-paying jobs. The Germans have a good system, but because of cultural and legal differences between the US and Germany, it would need to be adapted to work here.
