To be fair there is a distinction with eminent domain. Eminent domain requires the .gov to have a legitimate need for the property for some purpose important enough to justify the eminent domain seizure.

There is no legitimate reason the government needs my guns, it has plenty of it's own.

Let's just say that seizing property with eminent domain powers is bad, especially when it's for the interests of some random company. In the UK, property was seized so Tottenham could build a new football stadium.
