Now that's just not true. Women have proven just as capable as men in all areas of combat, and capability is generally more dependant on the individual rather than the gender.

Regardless, the combat taking place with be primarily aerial, and no personnel will be expected to fight on the ground.

Sending an armored battalion to do Civilian Affairs instead of a dedicated unit for such seems a bit weird, and likely explains why UN Peacekeepers are utterly fucking terrible at their job.

Now that's just not true. Women have proven just as capable as men in all areas of combat, and capability is generally more dependant on the individual rather than the gender.

That's not exactly accurate. Some women have proven capable, but speaking in generalities women have not proven as capable as men in combat and in fact have a few biologically-induced issues that preclude us from being as capable (averages with height, muscle mass, etc). Even with lower physical requirements women tend to have a substantially higher fail rate in training alone.

Now I would argue that individual women who can meet the exact same physical standards as men should be allowed to serve in combat units. However, this is a tiny percentage of women, and studies have found all-male teams perform better than mixed-gender teams.

It would help if we had a breakdown of what assets are being sent. Sending a lot of women with a civil affairs unit to help female refugees would make sense, sending a lot of female helicopter mechanics for the sake of "gender balance" doesn't.
