Should we get a new Forum 7?

So with the blessing of Reploid, I am asking the populace of NSG, if they would like to see another Forum 7 open up on these forums, whether that be the type of Forum 7 that was around in the original forums or the forum 7 on Jolt that was located in the NS2 forums.

Personally I would like to see a Forum 7 come about, as I particularly enjoyed the games we (of the few of us that participated) played, as well as some of the friendships (yes ok they are online but no matter) made.

So what say you NSG?

Maybe with enough support the powers that be may just change their mind.

It's a bastard offspring of forum 5 and 2.

"Forum 7" began in the dark ages of the original Nationstates forums, waaaay back before we moved to Jolt, when the server hamsters were dying in droves and about the only time you could actually access the forums was in the wee hours of the night when the US was sleeping.

Back then, rather a lot like what we have now, each forum had a numerical ID. There were subforums with ID numbers 5, 6, 8, 9, and so on... but #7 was conspicuously absent. This led to player speculation and conspiracies (mostly joking and for fun) about a secret forum only the mods could see.

So as part of the 2004 April Fools prank, back when I had full admin access (admins wore orange back then, not purple), I created a new subforum called "Forum 7", complete with a couple of fake "sooper sekrit mod discussion" threads to make it seem like the secret forum had accidentally been made public. It quickly devolved into all sorts of silliness and bordering on outright spam, but it was all in good fun. It was supposed to go away after April Fools, but Max gave his blessing and it remained for awhile afterward.

Of course, "Forum 7" had the ID number of 13, leading to new conspiracies and such silliness in the new subforum. Unfortunately, we had to get rid of it shortly before moving to Jolt because the server just could not take it. And after we moved to Jolt, I lost my admin access and couldn't start it back up. Since then the idea has somewhat fallen out of favor among the staff amid worries of killing the shiny new server with a modern Forum 7 games & silliness section.

Personally, it annoys me that those *insert descriptive obscene comment here* at Jolt/OMAC ganked the term from our history for that steaming heap of garbage NS2.

Its the moderators fault for putting spam threads in the spam forum? Isn't that their job?
