Why doesn't Redbox attach vending machines full of "movie snacks"? I'm taking a screenshot so if I see a Redbox vending machine anytime soon I'll see you in court

I am genuinely surprised Redbox is still hanging on somehow.

It's only a matter of time before DVDs are all gone. Does Redbox offer a streaming service?

They'd probably do better if they loaded up those machines with, you know, Milk Duds and Mike & Ikes

They usually have Redboxes in or just outside places where you can buy movie snacks, like grocery stores, drug stores and convenience stores.

The principle of going into the store from not needing to go into the store is a pain in the butt, especially for a packet of whatever kind of candy you want during the movie.

That's what I'm saying. The Redbox I use (can't remember the last time I did, though) is outside of a Walgreen's, where the chance of getting caught behind an old person bartering over weekly coupons is honestly a 50/50 shot. I'm convinced I live near the worst Walgreen's in the world. I don't go in there unless it's absolutely necessary. If I could get a Redbox extra-butter-topping microwave popcorn bag for $1.00 with my movie without having to make an extra transaction...

Not so fast, there are certain parts of the US where bandwidth is too expensive as to make streaming not worthwhile. Those places probably have internet but it is priced too high to use more than a certain amount of bandwidth because they have a telecom monopoly. In locations such as Alaska, renting DVDs is apparently still how people view new movies.

It is true for the most part that Toys R Us performed best in the pre internet era. Kids aren't playing with toys all that much anymore. Kids of today are so into the electronics now. Nothing wrong with that, just that the times have changed.

My toddler just whittled a bust of Theodore Roosevelt from a raw cut of ash taken from the banks of the Allegheny. It's lifelike. It's beautiful. It commands respect.
