None of those issues are what the great replacement theory suggests. The idea of the great replacement is basically just the white genocide conspiracy theory with nicer packaging.

Basically people wanting to find an excuse for their xenophobia who are too gutless to just admit what they really think.

So...is the great replacement a load of farce?

Anything resembling it is the result of total incompetence and not a conspiracy, at least in the most likely scenario (that is, "government officials are idiots").

Eh, you don’t need to be a white supremacist to acknowledge that completely unregulated immigration is a possible threat.

I understand that, but the great replacement idea isn't just "immigration is dangerous". It is specifically "immigration is dangerous because white people are going to be outnumbered".

Xenophobia needs no excuse! Xenophobia is a noble lady. We should have a Statue of Xenophobia.

They should give her a TV show.

Xenophobia: Warrior Princess.

Well in that’s case that sounds pretty stupid.

Isn't Xenophobia the name of one of the Ender's Game sequels?

Sartre's existential Marxism has all but died out. However, that gives some enterprising individual the opportunity to rediscover him and bring him into the 21ˢᵗ century.

Was he really a neocon? I didn't know that.

No, I used to watch but I've kinda lost interest.

More of a reactionary pseudoskeptic, tbh. I'm glad you stopped.

A non-progressive does not a reactionary make.

You think anyone who dislikes Islam is a neo-con though. You think Harris and Nawaz are neo-cons.

He supported toppling any dictator who wasn't a liberal democrat, that's being a neocon.

Dictators are generally a bad thing. The only reason we aren't toppling all of them is the cost of money and lives, and the difficulty in properly filling the power vacuum left behind.

Yes, he was an active supporter of the Iraq War and for intervention against Bashar Assad.

No.

The reason we don't topple some dictators is they do what we want. The reason we do topple some dictators is because they don't do what we want.

And neocons like Hitchens think that cost is irrelevant because the people living in those countries have to have liberal democracy exported to them at all costs.
