After realizing space exploration's returns are dwarfed by costs, atheists will cease to support it. Science will instead focus on pony sexbots and making anime real

This is ridiculous. Even if America degenerates into a liberal mess in your opinion, I think all of that are impossible.

As for my prediction, I think more independent nations will rise, while technological progress will bring about techs like cheaper space travel, printable organs, automation, self driving cars, etc

I mean technically it does, but what it leads to is wildly dependent on an erratic pendulum. Every two or three decades there is a massive backlash to some perceived change before everything calms the hell down. Then everyone unites like anti-pornography feminists, and evangelical Christians did in the 1980s to oppose a common issue which can lead to some awkward moments.

The original intention was for those with terminal illness, it was later expanded in other versions of the bill to include non terminal conditions to the vague standard "suffer unbearably" with no hope of relief in the current form. Now we have things like this being proposed. It hasn't been done yet but we do have the statistical fact of the increase in non terminal cases euthanisia.

Yeah, assisted suicide should only be a thing in extreme cases, as with terminal illnesses or nightmarish, permanent conditions. Also, always adults with the ability to consent.
