And now for something different: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/israeli-soccer-club-changes-name-to-beitar-trump-jerusalem-1.6078191.
The Israeli team Beitar Jerusalem decided to honor Trump for the embassy move, and add his name in the middle of their name. The team just lost in the cup final, and currently placed 2nd in the league.

The team has unofficial policy against Arab players, and its fans were involved in many instances of racism and violence. Many members of the right-wing coalition in Israel support them (even if just as publicity stunt).

A little obstacle: current rules state that you can't name teams after LIVING people.

Dont think It’s just about energy development; it’s all sorts of development. Ironically it could also be about allowing Native American sites to be wiped from the land to literally whitewash history, while simultaneously selling artifacts to white collectors who have superficial interest in the history and culture of the people who made them.

Always expect the worse of malicious intent with this Administration...

Should make people who voted for it think twice about what they did, shouldn’t it?

Like maybe they got exactly what they voted for.

Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.
The probability of someone secretly participating in homosexual acts is directly proportional to the frequency and loudness of their publicly professed disapproval and/or disgust for homosexuality.
If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.

Look for freedom fries to make a comeback in the House of Representatives cafeteria. Maybe Republicans will smash bottles of French wine they already paid for as well.

All the more fun given the man who coined the term "freedom fries" regretted doing so.

I was merely making a general statement regarding people who chose to vote for Trump resulting in the current situation. There is no need to take it personally.

I don't see what's wrong with this; the U.S. using economic levers to force compliance with its foreign policy objectives is a long established instrument in Washington's playbook and has been around the world for sometime.

America does not get to decide the foreign policy of the EU. Fine if America wants to screw itself over the Iran deal; Europe will not play ball. Trump is not a European president.

Is there not a more fitting allegory for that than a drunken one-nighter? For truly we're crossing all the boxes here, up to the unthought of consequences that one will keep paying for for the next 25 years at the very least. :p

Usually America gets what it wants by being more subtle than this. Though Europe normally goes along since, you know, global hegemon and all that.
