Honestly only people I agree with should be able to vote.

We all know a deeply racist reactionary would never have been elected if only the landed gentry could vote.

This but unironically

In all seriousness, protectionism might be a trait of [bad] right-wing although not necessarily the [good] one. We never "lost" the Rust Belt, the voters are already lost a long time ago to various demagogues that plagued the White House of both the red and blue sort. If anything, support for free trade and immigration seems to modestly increase in the modern era - although call me skeptical on that!

Your problem is assuming that the worst aspect of Trump is him being a genuine racist.

He's not against it though... He's just good at pretending he is.

Trump has literally spent the last fourty odd years being the embodiment of the Establishment his voters claim to despise.

If you fell for the anti-establishment play, well, that's on you. But don't make the mistake of thinking he is.

The Rust Belt aren't going to get the result they want, sadly, no matter what they do. The past is gone and it's not coming back.

Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg went on a news channel blitz yesterday, talking about how he wasn't going to cooperate with Mueller's subpoena, and may have been drunk. Erin Burnett, at least, smelled alcohol on his breath, and there have been rumors.

Also, hours after his rants, he said he would cooperate with the Mueller investigation after all. Drunkenness, considering his antics, wouldn't surprise me.

Video Game Group Confirms White House Meeting This Week

During a White House press briefing last week, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said President Trump will meet with "members of the video game industry" to discuss video game violence in the wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
